About StudKon

There will be no StudKon event this year. The conference will be replaced by a final PhD seminar which is mandatory for doctoral students of “Environmental Chemistry and Technology” and „Environmental and Biomaterial Sciences“ (both FŽP UJEP). 

The main aim of the seminarn is to provide students with the opportunity to practise and improve scientific presentation skills and to obtain constructive/critical feedback on their dissertation topic in a friendly environment. An integral part of the seminar is a knowledge exchange among doctoral students, supervisors, senior researchers and members of doctoral councils.

The seminar, including oral sessions only, is held in English. We strongly recommend consulting your presentation/poster with your supervisor and/or consultant(s).

Oral presentations. The time allowance is 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion. We ask that you send the presentation to the organizers before the seminar event. In emergencies, the presentation may also be uploaded before the talk sessions or during the coffee break. Please, provide the presentation in PowerPoint format only. First-year students will mostly present the vision, strategy and goals of their ambitious projects as well as preliminary results. Students in advanced years should present comprehensive work including mainly original results and the progress of their research.
